John Garbett, Age 19

John was the son of John Thomas and Eliza Garbett of 6 Meadow Road, Dawley and besides the fact that he was born and still living in Dawley at the time of his enlistment little else is known.

He had previously served with the Welsh regiment (291651) John was killed in action on May 3rd 1918 with the Kings and lies buried in the Houchin British Cemetery, Grave I.D.9. His parents had the below inscription inscribed onto his grave.
